THE BIG BANG UNICO SANG BLEU II ALL BLACK INKS BLACK

For this new artistic collaboration between Hublot & Maxime Plescia-Büchi, Hublot’s All Black concept is printed under the black ink of a blackout tattoo1. Monochrome and assertive, the Big Bang Unico Sang Bleu II All Black reveals all the three-dimensional geometry of the talented grapho-typotatoo-mane. Its black-injected material, polished and satin-finished, beveled and faceted, reveals a play of light and shadow in its relief. An iconic monochrome that’s now indelible.

A monochrome black called All Black imagined by Hublot in 2006, an avant-garde vision that has become an iconic signature: invisible visibility. Coincidentally or not, it was also in 2006 that Maxime Plescia-Büchi made black ink his expressive trait. In the spirit of the blackwork tattoo, his abstract geometric shapes, which he usually draws directly on the skin, become integral, covering the body of the watch in a black as deep as it is symbolic. Just as demanding as this integral black ink requiring even greater precision and skill on the part of the artist, the monochrome material also demands perfection. In a 45mm-diameter case, carved from black ceramic and black PVD titanium, the master tattoo artist alternates and superimposes hexagons, lozenges and triangles, measuring time from the bezel to the HUB1240 automatic Unico manufacture chronograph movement, visible beneath a skeletonized dial and open caseback.
Monochrome, the watch loses none of its relief; on the contrary, the tattoo artist’s play of polygons is accentuated by the effect of light, which reflects off the polished and satin-finished, incised and chiselled, beveled and faceted material.

The Big Bang Unico Sang Bleu II All Black is made of ink, like a tattoo, it’s… indelible.
