The dawn of a new day. Every woman blossoms and asserts her identity. Her silhouette, proudly erect, creates a bold contrast with the arid landscape that surrounds her. She exudes passionate femininity and an inner mystery imbued with courage. Her piercing gaze is resolutely turned towards a horizon filled with infinite possibilities. The ELIE SAAB Prêt-à-Porter Spring/Summer 2021 collection embodies the spirited woman who emerges from her cocoon. It is inspired by the power of resurgence and appeals to a spirit of fierce femininity, at once gentle and daring, organic and adventurous.
This contradiction is inscribed in the various outfits these women don to accompany them throughout the day. Light, classic celadon-blue and light-pink dresses and jacket-and-trouser ensembles take on an avant-garde edge thanks to sheer tulles with abstract embroidery and pearl embellishments. An immaculate white jumpsuit is adorned with a cascade of feathers, giving it volume, texture and a festive edge. A jumpsuit covered entirely in sequins and a black jacket-trouser ensemble catch the light and sparkle with charm and determination.
Every woman knows exactly who she is and resolutely expresses her adventurous personality. She demands attention. A bright green caftan, slit to the thigh, undulates carefree. Large floral prints flourish on chiffon, organza and tulle. A discreet knee-length skirt, featuring a jacquard mini-pattern, worn with a high-necked blouse creates contrast with cheerful explosions of lemon yellow and Bougainville pink ruffles. There’s a piece for every personality, a cut for every silhouette and a color for every state of mind.
Advancing like a powder trail, these women join in subtle celebration and then form a dazzling group. Long butterfly sleeves, gathered ruffled trims and dramatic trains float in unison to the rhythm of their dancing. For practicality, some women complete their looks with ELIE SAAB monogrammed handbags, or with mirrored glasses and large square frames for mystery.
