« Christian Dior wrote in his memoirs: «  To an impeccably decorated interior, I will always prefer the more sensitive and lively one that has been created little by little, according to the life and whims of its inhabitant. Designed as a showcase for dreams and imagination, echoing the couturier-founder’s first boutique  » Colifichets « , Dior Maison opens its doors on July 29 at 28, avenue Montaigne. Precious dinner services adorned with cannage, ginkgo leaves, sprigs of lily of the valley – Monsieur Dior’s lucky charm – and flowers from the garden of his country home in Milly-la-Forêt, celebrate more than ever the art of living, the pleasure of entertaining and the codes of Dior. Toile de Jouy, the House’s iconic motif reinterpreted in a contemporary version populated by animals, adorns the décor with its elegant blue designs. The concrete moldings, another striking combination of modernity and heritage, evoke Christian Dior’s beloved 18th-century architecture through a play on materials.
