This year, Cognac Frapin celebrates the centenary of one of its jewels: XO Château Fontpinot cognac. Created in 1923 by Pierre Frapin, this exceptional cognac has stood the test of time without a single wrinkle.
To mark the cuvée’s centenary, Cognac Frapin is releasing a limited edition anniversary bottle. The vintage label is inspired by the 1920s original, with its Art Deco colors. The bottle is presented in an elegant rough wooden box.
A rare cognac in more ways than one
Château Fontpinot XO possesses a double rarity. On the one hand, the “château” appellation, very restrictive in Cognac. On the other, its ancestral eaux-de-vie from the heart of Grande Champagne, Cognac’s premier cru.
The 240-hectare domaine Frapin is one of the few vineyards entirely located in Grande Champagne. Operations from vine to bottle are fully mastered. This is the privilege of Château Fontpinot XO, produced since 1923 by blending the château’s best and oldest reserves.
