The emblematic Maison Lanson, one of the pillars of champagne production since 1760, surprises once again with a new incarnation of its flagship product: Green Bio-Organic, an elegant, fruity and boldly organic champagne.
Back in 2018, this legendary House marked a page in winegrowing history by becoming one of the first to offer an organic champagne within its permanent range. Today, it continues its innovative momentum by revealing a new packaging for this precious beverage, and confirms its commitment to transparency and consumer education by providing ever more precise information.
Once again, Lanson stands out for the depth of detail it provides to champagne connoisseurs, specifying the blend, dosage, harvest base, reserve wines, disgorgement date and even bottle traceability. Each element, no matter how small, plays a crucial role in the creation of this liquid jewel.
Green Bio-Organic was born on Domaine de la Malmaison, a 16-hectare winegrowing paradise in the heart of the Marne Valley. This estate is one of the largest in Champagne, cultivated biodynamically, a method that respects the balance of nature and enhances the specific terroir from which this champagne draws its unique character.
It is under the direction of Hervé Dantan, the House’s Chef de Caves, that Green Bio-Organic comes to life. This refined blend is composed mainly of Pinot Noir (46%), complemented by Chardonnay (36%) and Pinot Meunier (18%). The result is a champagne of exceptional vitality, incomparable brilliance and fruity purity that resonates on the palate. The absence of malolactic fermentation, combined with low dosage, allows us to sublimate the fruit in its most authentic state.
Tasting it reveals ripe fruit flavors such as pear and mirabelle plum, with hints of spice and a touch of exotic fruit that suggest wonderful culinary pairings. It goes perfectly with raw dishes such as blue-veined cheese or an oyster platter, but also with pan-fried mushrooms or even a savarin with porcini mushrooms.
To minimize its carbon footprint, Green Bio-Organic is produced in a lightweight bottle, with no secondary packaging. At the same time, Maison Lanson favors local, responsible sourcing for its packaging, acting as a driving force for the local economy.
