Art Paris 2023, the 25th edition of the annual modern and contemporary art fair, proved to be a resounding success. From March 29 to April 2, 134 galleries from 25 countries gathered at the Grand Palais Ephémère to celebrate the event. The fair recorded a record 81,857 visitors, an increase of 19% on the previous year.
Although international collectors were less numerous due to strikes and social unrest, French collectors and institutions were very active at this year’s event. The 25th anniversary evening, co-organized by BNP Paribas Banque Privée, attracted 3,800 guests and was marked by the presence of personalities from the world of art and culture.
Several galleries achieved exceptional sales, with some declaring that this edition of Art Paris was their best participation to date. Transactions in the 6-figure range also increased, reflecting the higher level of collectors and institutions present.
