On May 1, 2023, the House of Givenchy was honored to have model Gigi Hadid wear a bespoke Givenchy Haute Couture outfit, designed by Matthew M. Williams, to the Met Gala 2023 celebrating “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. The outfit consisted of a black asymmetrical draped tulle gown, adorned with feathers arranged in lace, a metal corset adorned with orchid flowers, a metal orchid flower brooch, matching short gloves and black silk satin shoes, adorned with crystal rings.
