At the heart of the device, a transparent and illuminated infusion chamber that magnifies the essential step in the preparation of tea.
The infusion is no longer passive but dynamic.
The leaves are not compacted or pressed; instead they are released by a stream of pure water and air bubbles. They unfold to release their aromas in their most subtle nuances.
The whole is very visual, almost choreographic.
The 5.5 designstudio focused on developing a scenario or even an experience for the user. The infusion is magnified. It’s no coincidence that the designers were inspired by the tea ceremony. The time, the brewing, the contemplation…it’s a bit of a contrast to what one might imagine from a capsule machine.
The Parisian designers have of course thought about “ergonomics”, “readability of functions”… But more than mechanics, what touches the user the most is the experience, the gestures, the movements…
The temperature and infusion are adapted or specific to each tea and cup volume.

A collaboration between T.O by Lipton and Cirque du Soleil®, this film is a dazzling aquatic choreography. It celebrates the magic of brewing in motion and the flavor revolution embodied by T.O by Lipton.
Cirque du Soleil is known worldwide for its exceptional shows, some of which, such as “OTM” and AmalunaTM, include spectacular aquatic sequences. His creative team has conceived a tailor-made performance in which 8 of his swimmers display the virtuosity of mermaids. Athletes of international stature, some have been members of the Canadian Olympic synchronized swimming teams.
