In a desert of purple dunes, Miuccia Prada blurs the lines for this new collection, between seventies revival and romantic sweetness… The seventies revival takes shape in Milan and is confirmed at Prada, but reinterpreted in a singular and atypical way by Miuccia. Contrasting topstitching on coats, clean-cut edges on blouses and dresses with tapered backs set the tone, while leather patchworks, wallpaper motifs and brocades illuminate the collection. The palette is quite wintry, with deep tones, but as the collection progresses, touches of yellow, green and peach brighten up the wardrobe. The accessories – floral knee-highs, wooden-soled shoes and large, rigid bags – completed the wardrobe, which paraded through a desert of mauve dunes, as if to blur the lines and transport us to a faraway world…
