The Etro girl looks like she just stepped out of a hot, arid desert. She dresses in a beaded tunic, a little suede dress printed with Navajo motifs, or a fringed linen poncho dress. At the same time, another, lighter silhouette took shape, composed of vaporous chiffon dresses. The prints so dear to this Italian fashion house are also present. This easy-to-slip-on wardrobe takes us on a journey. A silhouette that’s both feminine and ethnic, yet never folkloric. The motifs are printed like tatoos. A refreshing change of scenery. The top models, with their long, shoulder-length hair, wear feather earrings or necklaces. The soundtrack accompanies and supports this sensation of warmth. “Riders on the Storm”, by The Doors, closes the show, finally heralding a rainstorm which, for the moment, is only falling on the streets of Milan!
