Thomas Tait: THE talent to watch.Thomas Tait is THE talent to watch. Winner of the first LVMH grant, Tait’s new energy is palpable and felt in his show. Working directly on the body, the designer envelops women in new volumes, one worn on the back in the form of drapes, another on one arm only, to counterbalance. A jacket becomes a dress, large coats reveal their colorful lining. A skirt made of black and yellow leather checks seems to literally unravel, checks that are found floating on silk dresses… Thomas Tait never forgets comfort, however, with his choice of silk, jersey, satin and knit fabrics…. His work is incredibly delicate, almost abstract, but so beautiful to look at…
