Erdem’s night birds…Designer Erdem Moralioglu is an absolute romantic. He takes us into a lush forest where Victorian-style dresses almost merge with the trees. Long sleeves, high collars, embroidered flowers seem to merge with lace. Then feathers take over, transforming the models into nightbirds. Erdem calms things down with a few passages in black, like this long, almost transparent sheath in fine lace, and especially with this voluminous skirt worn over a bra. Virginia Woolf would undoubtedly have chosen one of these models, worn today with sensuality by English it-girls.
