Drappier Grande Sendrée rosé 2005

Cuvée Grande Sendrée takes its name from a parcel of land covered in ashes after the fire that ravaged Urville in 1838. A spelling error slipped in when copying the land registry, and today an “S” distinguishes this cuvée. A reproduction of an 18th-century bottle found in the Urville cellars, Grande Sendrée is stirred entirely by hand. Exclusively vinified in the great years, Grande Sendrée’s raw materials and techniques combine all our know-how to produce a great Champagne wine. On tasting, the wine has a golden-honey color. Aromas of peach, apricot and gingerbread. Mouth of brioche and pain de mie, enveloped in the floral freshness of chardonnay. Notes of mandarin orange and licorice. Excellent balance.

Composed of a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from the best origins, Brut Majeur is the model par excellence of a non-vintage brut from a great House. Its extended 3-year cellar ageing and low dosage make it an easy-drinking wine for all occasions: the best ambassador for the House style, based on freshness and elegance.
To the eye, it has a light gold color, with abundant, fine bubbles. The nose is open and expressive, it is delicate, revealing notes of citrus, flowers and white flesh fruits. Well-balanced on the palate, combining freshness and vinosity, this wine is precise, fruity and long-lasting.

Bollinger R.D. 2002

Bollinger R.D. 2002

Only the greatest vintages are elevated to the rank of Bollinger R.D.: 2002 is certainly one of the most promising vintages of the last decade. R.D. for “Récemment Dégorgé”: it was in 1967 that Madame Bollinger created this legendary cuvée, offering the world the chance to taste a champagne that had been aged on its lees to the extreme. Her vision? To enable enlightened connoisseurs to share that very special moment when a recently disgorged wine offers extraordinary freshness and sumptuous aromatic expression. A small revolution in the world of champagne…
To the eye: golden with subtle reflections. On the nose: aromas of ripe, stewed fruit, especially quince, with a discreet hint of honey. Later, toasty, even cocoa notes emerge, giving way to scents of star anise and nutmeg. On the palate: a fleshy attack. Powerful yet balanced, with great persistence. Mineral finish with lemony hints revealing beautiful bitters.
