Following the success of its “L’Expo” gallery in Paris’s sixth arrondissement, Carré d’artistes decided to try its hand in Lyon, opening a new “L’Expo” gallery on May 24. Located at 37, rue de Brest, this new space dedicated to “Grand Format” works enables Lyon residents to discover new artists on a regular basis. Daniel Castan, Zani, Armelle Bastide D’Izard, Valérie Depadova and Anne Pivot-Iaffrate were selected to open the exhibition.

In tune with the times, Carré d’artistes has extended its offer to include “Large Format” works, a selection of “coup de coeur” paintings. A concept that appeals to fans of contemporary art. The concept is simple: the “L’Expo” gallery presents five different artists exhibiting large canvases.

To make each visit a unique experience, “L’Expo” welcomes a new artist every two weeks. A genuine space of curiosity, “L’Expo” can also be an original idea for an outing with family or friends. It’s a chance to go behind the scenes of contemporary art, and a fun way for the little ones to learn about art and the role of colors and shapes.

Once a month, signing sessions will be organized to chat with the artists and watch them create a painting live in front of a large audience.
