This year, Montblanc celebrates the 90th anniversary of its iconic Meisterstück fountain pen. Manufactured in Hamburg since 1924, the Meisterstück has stood alongside illustrious poets, philosophers, captains of industry and statesmen down the ages, and has become timeless.
For the occasion, the brand has created a special edition of the Meisterstück 149, whose rose gold nib is engraved with a unique motif commemorating the writing instrument’s 90th anniversary. Hand-carved by a master artist in the Manufacture’s Hamburg workshops, each solid gold nib requires 35 infinitely precise gestures. A further 70 steps are then required to ensure perfect assembly, and to test the writing instrument.
Montablanc pays tribute to its icon with a limited anniversary collection of writing instruments, timepieces, leather goods and accessories.
The collection embodies the brand’s values: a passion for traditional techniques and uncommon craftsmanship, a quest for intrinsic quality in materials, and a taste for aesthetic lines at the service of expert functionality.
