Maloles celebrates its 10th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, the brand called on 5 bloggers from five continents to reinterpret the Zoé (the brand’s emblematic model) and the Brigitte (the new summer 2014 model). This anniversary edition celebrates cultural diversity by offering fans new versions in the colors of Africa, Asia, America, Oceania and Europe.

Delphine Desneiges has been a blogger and editorial director of cosmopolitan.fr since 2007, representing L’Europe. She went for natural, raw materials, which she chose to combine with electric-colored leather. Last but not least, she used lurex to add a touch of sparkle! As for color, she paired a hard blue with an almost fluorescent yellow, a pretty duo.
Tokyobanhbao, French illustrator and blogger since 2007, represents Asia for the anniversary collection. She wanted to honor her roots while avoiding too many clichés. That’s why she designed simple, sober shoes with a touch of originality. She paid tribute to her passion for Japan by replacing the Zoé’s bow with origami folding, and chose a black and white motif in a nod to Yin and Yang, a philosophy that shows that duality and opposition are necessary to achieve a certain harmony.
Pauline, a blogger since 2009, moved to New York in 2013. That’s why she represents America. She was inspired by things that are ubiquitous in the American urban landscape:
– the flag of the United States, the famous Stars and Stripes, which Americans worship and which flies proudly on many buildings.
– yellow cabs, the very embodiment of New York frenzy!
Kaven is one of the 4 bloggers behind the4acesdate. This blog created by 4 friends of African origin from 4 different cities but living in the United States shares a unique point of view on fashion based on the influences of African culture. Kaven has revisited the Maloles ballerina and sandal in the colors of Africa. Both models reflect pieces of her African culture. Her inspiration comes mainly from African fabric prints. She wanted the Zoé to be reminiscent of popular prints. For the Brigitte, the Zebra print was used because Africa is a continent known for its beautiful wildlife, and she paired it with bright orange to symbolize tropical warmth.

Blog featuring the writings of a history student, freelance writer and philo-phile, named Hannah-Rose Yee. Launched in 2008, it is an ode to life’s little pleasures. Hannah-Rose represents Oceania, and for this she chose to go for an iconic representation of local culture. For ballerina Zoé, sand was her essential source of inspiration. She wanted to represent it in its natural state. For the sandal, she wanted to convey some of Australia’s youth and dynamism. So she chose a metallic gold leather that represents Australia’s national color and the spirit of its people.
