Poetic flowers in full bloom for Belgian designer Dries Van Noten‘s spring/summer collection. The Antwerp-born designer (home to many fashion talents) readily admits that gardening is one of his passions. This season, his passion for everything to do with nature and plants is illustrated, even displayed, in his clothes.
Dark colors (black and navy), weaving and jacquard are techniques found throughout the collection.
Relaxed, yet elegant, the Dries Van Noten man goes on vacation, and this is expressed through his wardrobe.
For everyday wear, he chose shorts, sandals and marcels. But things get a little more serious and sophisticated with the addition of long, tailored coats, button-down shirts and ties.
Winks to streetwear can be found here and there in this collection, with pieces such as lightweight bombers and zipped parka jackets.
For more ‘serious’ outfits, Dries Van Noten makes things even more sophisticated and dramatic with large, gold-embroidered coats.
Pants are also present in the collection, adorned with oversized floral prints. The prints are mixed, but always with great taste.
The subtlety of this floral collection was embodied by : Abiah Hostvedt, Arthur Gosse, Jester White, Yannick Abrath, Luuk Van Os, Rutger Schoone, Ben Allen, Chris Beek, Alexander Beck, Sam Aouchi, Abel Van Oeveren, Miles Langford, Justin Sterling, Kristoffer Hasslevall, Adrien Sahores, Elvis Jankus, Paul Boche, Tom Webb and the brand-new Ben Stift, who closed the show.
