Chic allure and sneakers: until recently, this was a combination that made people shudder. But since last autumn, it’s been possible to skilfully combine a couture dress with sneakers. As a result, collaborations between the great names in fashion and sportswear are proliferating. We’ve seen the legendary Converse dressed up by Comme des Garçons, or Nike sneakers covered in Liberty flowers…
Special mention goes to French ready-to-wear brand Comptoir des Cotonniers. A pioneer in the field, having teamed up with Dr. Martens four years ago, this fall the brand will be releasing a re-edition of the legendary New Balance 420 (yes, that eighties sneaker from the brand with the big N).
