The Marché Dauphine in its FUTURO version, Saint-Ouen
Marché Dauphine reinvents itself independently, with creativity, authenticity and humor. The youngest of the flea markets, long the discreet address for decorators, collectors and bargain hunters, reveals itself in September 2013 in its new “Modern&Classic” version, in partnership with Benoit Ramognino’s Velvet Galerie.
Under its huge Eiffel-style glass roof,
and behind its new slate-gray facade, the Maison FUTURO stands. Unique in France, this “UFO” house was designed by Finnish designer Matti Suuronen in ’68 at the request of a friend who wanted a nomadic chalet. Manufactured in fiberglass by Polykerm, this mobile home symbolizes the utopian architecture of the 60s, combining technical progress with the inventiveness of unbridled creativity. With 60 m² of living space and a height of up to 3.35 m, it remains revolutionary. Silent, unalterable, able to withstand temperature variations from the poles to the equator, it can be assembled in 36 hours!
