Last Tuesday, right in the middle of Fashion Week, one of the most eagerly-awaited events took place: the DIOR jewelry dinner. And Versailles couldn’t have been better chosen as the setting. The evening was an opportunity to present the new “Cher Dior” Haute Joaillerie collection designed by Victoire Castellane. Victoire has been artistic director of Dior’s jewelry department since 1998.
DIOR CEO Sidney Toledano invited a host of celebrities to the dinner at the Château de Versailles. American actress Leelee Sobieski, Swiss artist Olympa Scarry, French stylist Vanessa Seward, musician Bertrand Burgalat, Russian model Daria Strokous, Vincent Darré, Elie Top, Guillaume Galienne and photographer Mats Gustafson were just some of the guests. Inspired by the Jardins à la Française, the dinner was imagined by celebrated chef Michel Guérard, France’s forerunner of “nouvelle cuisine”, and took place in the superb Galerie Basse at the Château de Versailles.
