The Cuvée Les Becs Fins blanc 2012 comes from three very distinct terroirs: the Galets roulés of Sinargues (Gard), the Graves of Sablet and the Coteaux argilo-calcaires of Vaison la Romaine. These atypical terroirs are located in the coolest areas of the Côtes-du-Rhône appellation.
The blend comprises 50% Viognier, 10% Roussanne from 20-year-old vines, 35% Grenache and 5% Clairette from 40-year-old vines. It perfectly expresses the unique style of these southern white wines.
The 2012 vintage: a year of contrasts that did not spare the winemakers. Winter frost impacted harvest yields. Against all expectations, July and August were scorching hot, and the rains of early September boosted grape ripeness.
