The announcement is now official: the iconic fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar is about to launch its French version.
Founded in 1867 in the United States, the monthly Harper’s Bazaar has always been at the cutting edge of fashion, showcasing the personalities in the news, from the art scene to politics, sublimated by the best international photographers. Published in 18 languages and distributed in 44 countries, Harper’s Bazaar belongs to the Hearst Magazines group, which also owns Cosmopolitan and Esquire.
In France, the magazine was awarded to the Marie Claire Group, which appointed Alexandra Senes editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar.
An expert in fashion, art and architecture, Alexandra Senes was editor-in-chief of Jalouse, launched Mixte Magazine, and wrote the style columns for Journal du Dimanche and the Le Monde supplement. In addition to being a talented journalist, Alexandra Senes teaches a master’s class on fashion and culture at the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.
The release date for the first issue has yet to be announced, but there’s already a strong sense of anticipation.
