All-black: that’s the men’s silhouette at CoSTUME NATIONAL for autumn-winter 2013/2014. Serious and serious, that’s how Ennio Capasa sees his man this season.
So yes, black is omnipresent, but does that make the collection boring? Not at all! The Italian designer is a master of the subtle art of mixing materials, and his first looks feature wool married with leather. Zips are everywhere, on jackets and coats alike, and the designer behind CoSTUME NATIONAL has fun with lengths, bringing these two wardrobe staples together.
In addition to his many coats and jackets, the CoSTUME NATIONAL man is particularly fond of knitted sweaters to soften his rock attitude.
CoSTUME NATIONAL was a surprise, because even though colors are not the Italian fashion house’s main trend, a magnificent klein blue made an appearance at the end of the show, reviving a rather monochrome color palette.
