Maison Lanson has made the demanding choice to vintage only those years considered exceptional: 1904, 1928, 1955, 1971, 1976 and 1990… This brand-new 2004 vintage marks a century of vintages since the House’s first emblematic vintage, 1904. A century of a rare winemaking process, the House’s signature: the absence of malolactic fermentation, which preserves the wines’ distinctive aromas and rich palette, and enables them to endure the years with incredible freshness.
To the eye: Lanson Gold Label 2004 boasts a beautiful pale gold color, animated by fine bubbles.
To the nose: aromas of dried and candied fruit; roasted almonds, apricots, figs and mandarins are generously expressed.
To the palate: the attack is fleshy and complex, the candied mandarin finish develops long-lasting acid notes.
