Ken Okada exhibits. Delicately, subtly, she knows how to seek out talent. Attentive to a variety of artistic media – video, happening, painting, photography – she captures the possibilities of each, magnifies them and presents them.
With Art et Mode, she gives an insight into this approach. Her concept store, at 1 bis rue de la Chaise 75007 Paris, reveals her skills as a designer, but also as a scriptwriter. She organizes some wonderful encounters. Visitors are struck by the freshness of this perspective. A sharp eye, but at the same time, a lightness of being, art once again becomes a spark of life.
Christopher Lavenair’s paintings seem to play with the prints on a shirt placed at the entrance.
Abdelghani Hssinou’s photographs reveal his ability to capture light and give a certain density to beauty.
Ken’s creations, photographed in this way, reveal all their stylistic complexity and purity. Piece by piece, the photographer demonstrates how a woman wearing a piece from the collection reveals an unusual facet of her being.
Vincent Escrive’s videos punctuate the space, while Léo Dorfer’s watercolor games open up another universe.
Meetings, meetings…
