Artistic director of the recently renamed French luxury house Saint Laurent Paris, Hedi Slimane is putting his golden fingers to work for the long-awaited return of Daft Punk (a group composed of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter).“Random Access Memories” this new opus is the most eagerly awaited album of this year 2013, scheduled for release on May 20. For the occasion, Hedi Slimane photographed the duo for the Saint Laurent M usic Project , showing off the two robots in a short video that can be seen on the website ysl.com . In this minimalist visuals in black and whiteshot in Los AngelesDaft Punk are dressed in dazzling tuxedos designed by Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent. This is a long-standing collaboration between the three artists,Daft Punk having already produced the soundtrack for Hedi Slimane’s first fashion show asbrand artistic director.
