Partly inspired by former model and musician Leslie Winer, Paulo Guido played the punk look to the hilt at Jean Paul Gaultier’s fall/winter 2013/14 show.
“Jean Paul works a lot on instinct, and he uses the word ‘patchwork’ a lot. From there we came up with the idea of putting wigs on the girls’ heads, as if the girl had dyed her hair and now had roots. We selected brown, blonde and chestnut wigs, and looked at which color they would contrast best with. Of course, I adapted the wig to each of the girls: length, styling, bangs etc… Wigs are a really great thing to use on the catwalk, as cutting the models’ hair would be unmanageable. So they let you have fun with lengths for the duration of a fashion show!”. Paulo Guido, fashion show hairstylist
