Dior Paris Fashion Week A/W 2013/14 Beauty Report

It was a sophisticated chignon that appeared on the models’ hairstyles at Dior’s fall/winter 2013/14 show. A hint of the 50’s, modernized with a “wet” effect.

“The wet look has really made a breakthrough this season, it allows you to see something really different and authorizes more creativity. The chignon is thick, refined, wide on the back of the head but without too much volume. How high? We opted for something between the dancer’s chignon, very high on the crown of the head, and the low chignon. The fact that the hairstyle adopts a wet look gives us the impression that the woman was walking in the rain, and that lends a lovely melancholic touch.” Paulo Guido, fashion show hairstylist
