I Love Magnum!On Wednesday February 13, the eve of Valentine’s Day, the Magnum ice cream parlour held an event to celebrate the launch of its “limited edition” 5 Kisses models.The party was held in the sublime Pavillon Cambon. As soon as we arrived, we grabbed a cup and wandered around the room. The DJ is spinning some serious tunes. It’s shaping up to be a fun evening.
Signs with the #magnumkiss encourage guests to Twitter throughout the evening, which we certainly do. We watch for the arrival of the VIPs, who follow one another into the Photocall. They include Miss France 2003, Alexandre Devoise and Linda Hardy. The stainless steel Foc Kan immortalizes them. Around 9pm, singer Imany performs at the Showcase. Her suave voice distils a soulful sound, including her famous hit “you will never know”. She doesn’t hesitate to cover the Jackson Five either. At around 10pm, the hostesses unveil the new limited edition models. My preference is for the crème brûlée fragrance.
