Bouchra Jarrar Couture Spring/Summer 2013

Asymmetry could be the term chosen to sum up Bouchra Jarrar‘s collection.

Boyish silhouettes, the antithesis of what you’d expect from a show during haute couture week, Bouchra Jarrar provokes with mutinous silhouettes.

Pants are the uniform of the season, present on almost every look.
Lots of stripes for this spring-summer collection, which mostly avoids the strictness of a one-color look.

Trench coats and overcoats are worn belted and come in a sober color palette of brown, black, navy blue and white.

We imagine the Bouchra Jarrar woman in navy, with her little tomboy side and the striped patterns used with the aforementioned hues. The dresses are fluid, recalling the movement of the ocean.
