Gold lace, cascades of precious stones and the mysterious brilliance of precious metals are the fruit of the Buccellati family’s two-hundred-year history of artistic creativity.
The handcrafted prowess of Buccellati jewelry is reminiscent of the most delicate lace. The designer finds his inspiration in the precious laces of Venice, Bruges and Valenciennes. The craftsmen, faithful to Gianmaria and Andrea’s sketches, hand-drill fine gold leaf onto which the lace pattern is then traced. Then, with patience and great dexterity, they drill again and again to obtain the smallest and most delicate of motifs. One slip of a goldsmith’s chisel, and the whole thing starts all over again. A talent handed down from generation to generation, still perfectly mastered today by the House’s highly skilled craftsmen, heirs to ancestral techniques and Renaissance know-how.
