Pupil and protégé of the famous stylist Rei Kawakubo (Comme des Garçons) Junya Watanabe has chosen a Parisian bohemian-chic inspiration to illustrate his vision of fall-winter fashion.
With their Gavroche look, Junya Watanabe’s men are particularly fond of chef covers and the stripes seen on high socks, as well as sailors.
Multi-material patchwork is king in Junya Watanabe’s men’s wardrobe, featuring on short jackets and coats alike.
Denim, the guarantee of a casual look, is distilled throughout the collection, as pants, jacket inserts or shirts.
The designer also has fun with lengths, not hesitating to wear a trench coat under a blazer or suspenders over rolled-up jeans, revealing sailor-style socks.
