Rick Owens, the undisputed king of gothic and monochrome clothing, has chosen the path of architecture, and more specifically plinths (Plinths is the title of this collection), as the inspiration for his men’s Autumn Winter collection.
Skirtings form the link between the ground on which they are anchored and the rest of the building structure. But for Rick Owens, it’s not just the definition of tangible plinths as such that serves to inspire the collections. It’s also their immaterial projection and what they can represent from a spiritual point of view.
Black, white, light beige and gray: these are the only colors in the collection.
Oversized, dramatic collars, leather and furs are present for dark, raw looks in keeping with this season’s primary inspiration.
