Valentino Men Fall Winter 2013/2014

Valentino Garavani, the name that alone evokes the best of Italian fashion and all its finesse, presented its menswear collection on the first day of men’s fashion week in Paris. Dark tones and meticulous tailoring are Valentino’s vision for men, and chic would be an understatement when it comes to the precision and beauty of the pieces presented.

Bi-material and tartan revisited are the main lines that seem to emerge from Valentino’s Autumn Winter collection. From leather trench coats to bi-material cape and shoes, it’s the star material of this fashion show.

The Valentino man is above all a man of taste and class, always choosing beautiful materials and cuts, but that doesn’t mean that creativity (or even fantasy) has no place in his wardrobe. The two-material cape (clearly her favorite piece) and the military-print trench coat are proof of this.

Valentino proves that menswear, while respecting the code of absolute classicism, can nonetheless be innovative, and that detail is the true key to genius.
