Yohji Yamamoto, eccentric yet intelligent Japanese designer, is in the tradition of innovators. With a style that is more technical than ostentatious, this creator of eccentrically sober clothes also has a daughter, creator of the Limi Feu brand, who excels in a style similar to that of her father, but in a softer genre.
A Regulation collection, included in the Spring Summer 2013 show, based on military uniforms, also features marinières, basic colors such as white, khaki and black, and airy, draped structures. For the Spring Summer 2013 women’s collection, transparency, volume, fine details on the bottom of shirts and a wire structure on some garments.
Limi Feu is thus the brand of Yohji’s daughter, very feminine, she uses denim, revisits the white shirt by giving it the DNA of her father’s house. Materials are produced in Japan, and the designs are sometimes reminiscent of Margiela.
For men, Yohji Yamamoto uses brighter colors and prints. Turquoise, verdigris and many linen garments.
The avant-gardism of these lines (those of Yohji and his daughter) and the research work make for interesting creations where inspiration is endless and the imprint of design present.
