Crazy Horse as you’ve never seen it …

FEU
Under the artistic direction of Christian Louboutin
The 3D film event
In cinemas December 31, 2012

Last March, Le Crazy opened its doors to the first “Guest Designer” in its history: Christian Louboutin.
The famous designer of the red sole revisited the Crazy show, and, surrounded by an eclectic team of renowned artists including David Lynch, Swizz Beats, Mark Fast, Gilles Papain and Patricia Folly, conceived four original and unique tableaux, inspired by worlds as diverse as hip hop and master paintings … to give birth to a show christened FEU.

FEU will also be the occasion for a second artistic project: the production of a 3D recording, once again taking Le Crazy to the cutting edge of technology. At the heart of FEU, director Bruno Hullin creates a sensual ballad around the bodies and choreography of the sublime dancers. To represent this unparalleled experience, the show is filmed in a 1,300 m² studio in total darkness, where every shot is cut like a feature film. Dive shots, wide-angle shots, circular movements and 3D technology give the show previously imperceptible points of view…: an obvious
of incredible detail emerges, drawing the viewer’s eye to a body, a muscle, a look, an emotion…

Guest designer Christian Louboutin also sheds some light on the staging of his four unique paintings. Throughout the film, Louboutin takes time to explain his choices, his sources of inspiration, his collaboration with Le Crazy and his 20-year career as a designer.

“This 3D capture is a first for Le Crazy, and we’re delighted to finally be able to offer spectators a new way of seeing and experiencing our show and the unforgettable dancers who interpret it… It was also a real pleasure to collaborate with the Kabo teams, who were quick to grasp our constraints and respect our codes,” explains Andrée Deissenberg, General Manager of Le Crazy Horse.
Christian Baumard, Co-President of Kabo 3D, adds: “The professionalism of the dancers was praised by all. Despite lighting adjustments that sometimes required them to hold a pose for dozens of minutes, they worked with precision and good humor. Some sets and lighting were redesigned
entirely for the screen and 3D. As a result, the aesthetics and poetry of the film are immediately apparent on first viewing.

FEU, the 3D event film, distributed by Côté Diffusion, in theaters across France on December 31, 2012.
During 2013, FEU will also be on the big screens of many countries, including Russia, Colombia, Taiwan, Brazil, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Germany, Benelux, Australia…

Invited to the preview, we were plunged into a marvellous journey. The 3D work is exceptional, and the spectator is plunged right into the heart of the show. A moment of enchantment, beauty and eroticism such as we are rarely given to experience.
