Vittel reviewed and corrected by Sempé

With the festive season approaching, the major brands are dreaming up collector’s items to place prominently on our tables. The water bottle is one of them.
And this year, two figures from France’s heritage – Vittel and cartoonist Sempé – have teamed up for an astonishing project. From November onwards, the famous illustrator will be offering Vittel and Paris lovers his mischievous eye, as is his Petit Nicolas, and sketching an elegant label for a limited series. The label features our waiter in his bow tie in the warm atmosphere of Sempé’s favorite Brasseries: Le Café de Flore, where this drawing was born, Les Deux Magots, La Brasserie Lipp… the atmosphere of Saint-Germain, Saint-Sulpice and the Jardin du Luxembourg, where Sempé spent many happy years and where this great observer, full of benevolence, likes to sit on the terrace.
“I love water, especially Vittel water. The image developed by the brand over the years is not unrelated to my spirit. Vittel has always been able to bring a touch of humor to its advertising campaigns, with a kind of benevolence and without any vulgarity. Vittel is part of the French heritage in a way, just like me!” says Sempé.
The Vittel label carries the whole of Sempé’s recognizably poetic world, familiar and timeless, populated by people who are very much like us, torn between sublime dreams and everyday life…
A new collector’s item for fans of humorous drawings and great flavors, to be found on the glass bottle at the end of the year.
