Sensitive to the strong values of stand-up comedy, which combines urban, contemporary humour with the conviviality of new stages, Le 16EME CIEL is launching France’s first professional/amateur stand-up meetings on November 12th, a comedic monologue, a real “one man show”!
The concept
Le 16EME CIEL spotlights emerging talent from the new stand-up scene, and aims to give young amateur talents a chance, through a casting operation that will culminate in June 2013.
To defend its promise of French art de vivre “There’s a time for everything, especially pleasure!”, 16EME CIEL plays on French traditions: gastronomy, creativity, seduction, humor… à la française!
The 16EME CIEL Stand Up showcases refreshing French humor.
With the launch of this program, Le 16EME CIEL aims to pursue its strategy of expanding its presence on new media, to reach out to its consumers… and the talents of tomorrow.

One operation, three highlights
Stage 1 – Monday November 12, 2012 at 6pm or 8:30pm: Launch evening with professional comedians
An evening orchestrated by a sponsor and master of ceremonies is organized at La Nouvelle Eve, a legendary revue theater.
Four leading artists from the French stand-up scene will accompany the sponsor on this launch evening:

Stage 2 – November 2012/April 2013: A nationwide casting call for amateur candidates.
