MARILHEA WINS THE FRANCE FINAL OF ELITE MODEL LOOK 2012
It was 10 p.m. on Monday, October 22, when 17-year-old Marilhéa, 1.81 m tall, saw her dream come true: she was the winner of the 29th French final of the Elite Model Look contest! At the end of an exceptional human adventure, this victory opens the doors to the prestigious international final of the Elite Model Look contest, to be held in Shanghai on December 1.
An exceptional show worthy of the occasion!
The French final of the Elite Model Look competition was held at the legendary Carrousel du Louvre. The 12 finalists took to the catwalk in front of over 700 guests, including fashion and beauty professionals, journalists and representatives of major brands. The show was orchestrated by Bjorn Tagemose, an iconoclastic, all-round artist who created a poetic, fairytale setting.
An extraordinary human experience
The French finalists had to invest time and energy to reveal their full potential in the 2012 edition of Elite Model Look France. Long months of selection throughout France were necessary to choose the 12 finalists. The girls then underwent intensive preparation, including sports coaching, fittings, makeovers, rehearsals and photo & video shoots, to be ready to parade in front of a prestigious jury.
Supervised by fashion and beauty professionals, photographers, choreographers, hairdressers, make-up artists and stylists, they experienced unforgettable moments during which competition often gave way to emotion and complicity between the candidates.
Savor the victory before continuing the adventure
The jury, made up of Erin Doherty, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE magazine, Piergiorgio Del Moro, Casting Director, Jacques Bungert, Co-President of Courrèges, Michaela Goddard-Quesada, President of Elite Model Look, Vick Mihaci, President of Elite Management Worldwide, in the presence of Stefania Valenti, CEO of the Elite World group, were finally convinced by the charisma, personality and, of course, the photogenic and natural beauty of Marilhéa, a young girl from Dienville (10). At 1.81m, with her intense eyes and undeniable presence, she can look forward to a career worthy of previous winners of the competition: Cindy Crawford, Stéphanie Seymour, Gisèle Bundchen, Constance Jablonski, Sigrid Agren and, more recently, Joséphine Le Tutour.
In the meantime, Marilhéa will take advantage of the next few weeks to prepare herself as well as possible, so that she can give her best at the international final of the Elite Model Look contest, to be held in China on December 1.
And it’s going to be a tough challenge, since she’ll have to hold her own against 60 other candidates, also winners in their own countries, by winning over a particularly demanding jury of professionals. The prize: a three-year contract with Elite Group agencies and the opportunity to live a unique and unforgettable experience.
