Spotify music streaming platform arrives on Samsung Smart TVs

Samsung Electronics is the first TV manufacturer to offer the Spotify digital music service, with the launch of an app for its Smart TVs, then Blu-ray and Blu-ray home cinema players later this year.
Spotify offers instant access to a library of over 18 million tracks directly available on Samsung Smart TVs in Europe.
Enjoying Spotify on Samsung Smart TVs is easy: just download the application onto your Samsung Smart TV and log in. Subscribers to the Spotify Premium service can immediately discover, share and enjoy their music, and access all their playlists automatically synchronized on all their equipment.
“Our goal is to make all the world’s music available anywhere, anytime; the arrival of our service on Samsung Smart TVs brings us one step closer to achieving this goal,” says Pascal de Mul, global director of hardware partnerships, Spotify. “TV is at the heart of the entertainment experience, so it’s only natural that our music service is available on Samsung Smart TVs.”
The service is now available to all Spotify Premium subscribers with a Samsung 2012 connected Smart TV. Those who are not yet Spotify customers can visit www.spotify.com/freetrial to try Spotify Premium for free for 30 days.
