Winamax Poker Tour season 2: Action!
We’re back! The most eagerly awaited poker event of the year is back. The biggest competition in France will feature no fewer than 81 stages in 41 French cities. And it’s still completely free, with 500,000 euros guaranteed! The first edition was a real success.
All French players will be offered an event close to home. From Bordeaux to Strasbourg, Lille to Nice and Tours, but also Dunkerque, Montélimar, Limoges, Saint-Etienne… A tight regional network offering a chance to everyone, giving the title of French Champion its full value.
Each stage of the tournament will take place in a different location. These include soccer stadiums, sports complexes, historic monuments, luxury hotels, near the sea, at the foot of the mountains, by the quayside. More than 11,000 people will be taking part in the live stages… with a view to crowning the best player in France!

To take part in this fantastic poker festival, Winamax.fr’s online tables will allow players to secure their place in the grand final right up until the last minute! To take part in one of the 81 stages, you’ll need to qualify in free tournaments starting on September 25, 2012. Then come the regional stages… Each stage will feature up to 120 participants, and will be managed by a team of professionals experienced in organizing the biggest poker competitions. It’s an opportunity to cross swords with other poker enthusiasts in your region, share convivial moments and play poker under the same conditions as the pros!
Top start in Paris at La Grande Halle de la Villette with 2,000 players!
Saturday, October 27, 2012 will mark the launch stage in Paris. A first day in the presence of iconic player Patrick Bruel will set the tone for an unprecedented loop. It’s an opportunity for everyone to share the atmosphere around the tables, meet the Team Pro players and cross paths with the many personalities who will also be on hand. These include sportsmen Anthony Benna and Emerse Faé, comedians Alain Bouzigues Fred Chaud, Philippe Cura, Titoff, Sinsemilia singer Mike D’inca and sports journalist Christophe Josse. The list goes on growing!
A photo exhibition to show poker players in a different light
For the World Poker Championships in Las Vegas in July, Team Winamax turned to photographer Grégoire Camuzet to revisit some of the now legendary images of American cinema.
A few days of emotionally-charged shooting have left us with some rare quality shots, which look as if they’ve just stepped out of a Hollywood retrospective. Proof, if proof were needed, that poker players are first and foremost formidable actors!
To present this work to the general public, an exhibition will be held on October 27 and 28, in conjunction with the Paris leg of the Winamax Poker Tour at the Grande Halle de La Villette.
