KENZO
Spring-Summer 2013 show
This collection is inspired by the mystery of Asian jungles populated by tigers and leopards, illuminated by vibrant shades of green and ochre.
For spring-summer 2013, the vital energy that emanates from this has been transposed into an urbanized language, punctuated by cool blues, pale pinks and structured with geometric and organic prints.
We married our passion for practical, transformable and multi-functional clothing with the sensuality and fluidity of pieces that reveal the softness of skin, and composed a sophisticated blend of flou and tailoring.
Kenzo’s signature shoulder structure has been softened to reduce volume, giving tops and dresses a streamlined look.
We’ve introduced lingerie pieces into the collection, combining them with outwear, as part of our commitment to femininity.
Offbeat details spice up the collection, like these tigers hidden behind the plant print or these trompe-l’œil boot-effect pants.
Our leopard prints in orange, turquoise and mustard yellow give animal references a surreal touch.
Imagining the density of Asian forests viewed through night-vision goggles, we gave these wild landscapes a deliberately psychedelic feel. The tiger motifs are embroidered on the denim and added to the various gold buckles.
Once again, we collaborated with Delfina Delletrez, who created a collection of accessories – handles, rings, combs – directly inspired by the world of the jungle, giving each look a touch of animal savagery.
High laced boots, lizard heeled moccasins in acidic colors and fully embroidered, shiny lizard sandals in raffia and metal, complete these resolutely “urban jungle” outfits.
