International Stadiums Poker Tour: the world’s biggest poker tournament!Thursday May 14 saw the press conference for the ISPT: the International Stadiums Poker Tour. We headed to the Pavillon Gabriel, where the event took place.Prospère Masquelier and Laurent Tapie, the two organizers, begin the presentation. This is shaping up to be a superlative tournament. We learn that they’re expecting no fewer than 30,000 players for a prizepool of 20 million euros: enormous and, above all, unprecedented!
The event takes place at London’s legendary Wembley Stadium. The tournament comprises a first online section in the stands and a second Live section on the pitch for the 3,000 survivors. The entry fee is 600 euros, which is relatively moderate for such a large prizepool. The more affluent, for a fee of 6,000 euros, can join the Live section directly. Groupe Partouche will be in charge of organizing this new tournament. Satellite tournaments will also be organized to qualify.
This first edition will be broadcast in 28 countries worldwide. Laurent Tapie has announced that this figure could be even higher. The risk of capricious weather has also been taken into account, as vast halls exist in the stadium to accommodate players in the event of rain.
