Calvin Klein announces the worldwide launch of the campaign for its new men’s fragrance. The name? Encounter, a name imbued with mystery and passion, recalling the famous Baudelairean poem on the subject of furtive encounters. Encounter is also a skilful blend of mandarin, musk, pepper, jasmine and rum.
Calvin Klein has chosen Alexander Skarsgard, actor known for his role as a vampire in the American series True Blood, to embody the muse of this new fragrance, alongside the beautiful Lara Stone. The campaign, designed by Artistic Director Fabien Baron, features a determined, self-confident man at the heart of a tumultuous love affair filled with tension and unfulfilled desire. A sensual, mysterious atmosphere emanates from this campaign, shot by the famous American photographer Steven Klein, who is used to working with the brand.
On sale in all Calvin Klein-approved perfumeries from September 2012.
