Literature at the Lutetia

Since its opening nearly a century ago, Hôtel Lutetia has welcomed authors of undeniable renown, such as Albert Cohen in the ’30s, and Sartre and Michel Foucault after 1945. Numerous literary prizes have been awarded in the hotel’s prestigious salons, including the Prix de Sévigné, the Prix Antonin Carême, the Prix de Médicis and the Prix Françoise Sagan.
For almost three years now, sharing the pleasure of literature has been accessible to all thanks to the Samedis Littéraires organized at the hotel. Actors from the Association “Les Mots Parleurs” offer a monthly rendez-vous for lovers of reading and speaking: facing the audience, they appropriate a text and bring a story to life by reading it aloud. The spotlight is on specific authors, themes or books.
Each session is followed by a cocktail party, a convivial moment of exchange – www.
