The famous restaurant on the Place de l’Opéra, is offering, from May 21 to 25, 2012, a terrace breakfast for the price of 5 euros. All proceeds will be donated to the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association, which operates on children with heart defects
Breakfast
Enjoy breakfast on the terrace of one of Paris’s most legendary cafés, at an exceptional price and while doing a good deed…
That’s what Café de la Paix is offering for the second year running! All week from May 21 to 25, the famous Place de l’Opéra restaurant will be offering a special breakfast for 5 euros (eat-in or takeaway), with all proceeds going to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque. For the occasion, the establishment’s volunteer employees will exceptionally open the terrace facing the Palais-Garnier from 8 to 10 a.m.
But that’s not all: for every breakfast consumed (hot drink, orange juice and a croissant), the Café de la Paix will double the price, adding 5 euros. This means that 10 euros will be donated to the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association for each breakfast. All the ingredients are there to combine pleasure and good deeds!
Last year, 1,123 breakfasts were served, raising enough money to welcome and save 1 child with a heart defect.
Exceptional sponsors!
On Tuesday May 22, Inès de la Fressange and Satya Oblet will join Professor Francine Leca and Patrice Roynette to support the operation and share a breakfast on the terrace. Come one, come all!
Thanks to the action carried out last April, it was possible to finance the visit to France and operation on little Carmel Mulamba, from the Congo, in September 2011.
This operation is part of the “citizen” approach of the InterContinental Paris Le Grand, which is multiplying its partnerships with NGOs in favor of sick and handicapped children and underprivileged populations, and is pursuing an active sustainable development policy.
