And yes…the name isn’t easy to live up to, in more ways than one. The comedian is quite self-deprecating about it. Two people turned up on the night we came to see Laurent Gerra, but the rest of the audience came to see Laurent Gérard. This comedian deserves to be known. With his slim figure, he enters the stage and delivers a really funny show. The one-man show is organized around a gallery of colorful characters (hairdresser, grandmother, nudist…). The autobiographical part seems to be quite important. This comedian is very talented.He uses his body a lot and doesn’t hesitate to get naked, in every sense of the word. Laurent Gérard’s fine, razor-sharp writing allows him to be bold, free and truthful. That’s why the characters he mischievously portrays have a dimension and a depth that, behind the laughter, go straight to our hearts…In short, we spend a pleasant moment in this small theater of the Mathurins.
