A true French success story, the DS line is a unique adventure for a generalist brand. Launched two years ago, it is now a successful bet with three models on the market – the CITROËN DS3, DS4 and DS5 – and already 200,000 sales! Citroën’s showroom on the Champs Elysées was the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening, with a live performance by Cassius. On this occasion, Fréderic Banzet, Managing Director of the Marque, in the presence of Philippe Varin, Chairman of the Managing Board of the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group, unveiled the future of the DS line, including images of a brand-new concept car, Numéro 9, which will be presented at the forthcoming Beijing Motor Show. Fréderic Banzet also handed over the keys to the 200,000th model in the DS line, a CITROËN DS5.
From April 12 to 14, the Brand celebrated its DS DAYS. The three-day program unveiled the world of DS to the general public, with visits to production sites, test drives and revelations about the future of the DS line…

DS line: 3 models, 2 years, 200,000 sales
CITROËN launched the CITROËN DS3 and with it, the DS line. A distinctive line that complements the Marque’s main range, opening up a new approach to automotive premium. A line of models with more radical choices, for customers looking for style, architecture, sensations and refinement.
“If any generalist manufacturer was legitimate enough to take this risk, it was CITROËN”, emphasizes Fréderic Banzet, General Manager of the Marque, arguing that “in its history, CITROËN is the only brand to have succeeded in bringing together a 2CV and a DS in its showrooms”. A daring gamble, and a recognized success, with 200,000 sales in two years. However, the bold DS line has no intention of resting on its laurels, and promises a future full of surprises…
