Paule Ka – AH Collection 2012-2013
The inspiration for this collection is the golden youth of London in the 60s
It’s a collection that’s meant to be light and joyful, reflecting the carefree spirit of these young women who set off on their travels with pieces from their mother’s, aunt’s and big sister’s wardrobes, as well as their parents’ credit cards!
These young women are in transit in an airport lounge, on their way to chic winter destinations.
They mixed their bloomers, creepers and oversized sweaters with their mother’s mink furs, embroidered pieces and pumps. The result is a definitively sporty-chic look, reminiscent of leisurewear.
Contrasting materials: faux and real fur, technical materials (vinyl, faux leather…) and soft materials (mohair, fur…), midolino (basket) and rhinestones… etc
Contrasting colors: contrasting collars in colored mink, oversized stripes on plain sweaters…
Volume contrasts: oversized sweater vs. ribbed jersey knit, bloomer vs. long skirt, pleated sun skirt vs. straight slit skirt…
