Thibault Lamarque’s idea for Castalie water is a natural one

L’Eau de Castalie offers a sustainable alternative to mineral, still and sparkling waters. It’s a simple, ecological and economical way to consume pure water that’s easy to access and respectful of the environment.
Thanks to sophisticated equipment, cafés, hotels and restaurants will be able to create their own water by microfiltration, from mains water.
Among other things, this enables us to offer customers fresh, refined water directly at the point of consumption. Each establishment will be able to adjust the minerality, temperature and finesse of the fizz as it sees fit, while preserving the trace elements naturally present in the water.
But more than that, if today a bottle of mineral water can travel up to 1,500 km before reaching your table, Eau de Castalie requires almost no transport: processed on site, the water is served in glass bottles designed to be reused more than 3,000 times, thus avoiding wasted glass, transport to consignments and large storage volumes.
Last but not least, it will be sold at a lower price than conventional table waters, which range from €2.50 to €4 per liter.

Already available in the Alps, Eau de Castalie has been available in cafés, hotels and restaurants in Paris since the beginning of the year.
And for the more discerning home user, a range of small, stylish machines can be perfectly integrated into the kitchen, right in the home.

Thibault Lamarque, founder of Eau de Castalie in 2011, has always favored structures with a positive approach and commitment to the environment, both in his work and out of personal conviction. It was through his role at Veolia Transport, then Veolia Environnement, then Alter Eco, a small business specializing in the import and distribution of fair trade products, that he became interested in bottled water networks. The disastrous ecological and economic findings he drew from this led him to take the first steps in setting up his own company: Eau de Castalie.
